VoxNote is a macOS application that records, transcribes, and summarizes meetings. Processing happens on your device. We do not receive or store your content.
VoxNote requires macOS 12 or later. By using the app you agree to these terms.
Recording a conversation may require the consent of the other participants, depending on your jurisdiction and situation. Complying with applicable law and with your organization's policies is entirely your responsibility. We cannot know what you record — the data never leaves your device — and we are not responsible for it.
You own everything you create with the app: recordings, transcripts, and summaries. We claim no rights to it, and we cannot access it in the first place.
Transcription and summarization are the output of AI models and can be wrong. Transcripts may contain errors or omissions; a summary may miss important context. Check against the original audio before relying on it for legal, medical, financial, or other consequential decisions.
If you choose to enable an external AI provider (such as OpenAI), data sent to that provider is governed by that provider's terms and privacy policy. We neither receive nor relay it, and we are not responsible for the availability, quality, or cost of that service. This feature is off by default.
On-device AI models are distributed by third parties (for example Hugging Face) under their own licenses. Downloading them requires a network connection.
The app, its design, and its trademarks belong to us. You may not reverse-engineer or redistribute the app.
We may improve or change the app's features. Because it runs on your device, an installed copy and the data it holds remain usable even if we stop distributing it.
The app is provided "as is." To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for data loss or business damages arising from its use. Please back up recordings that matter.
If these terms change, we will announce it in an app update and on this page.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
