Deepnook has no account and no server. Your sessions, notes and recaps are processed and stored only on your device. The AI features run on your device too. There are no ads, no analytics and no tracking.
On devices that support Apple Intelligence, weekly and monthly recaps and mentor tips are written by Apple’s on-device language model (Foundation Models). The numbers come from your own statistics calculated by the app. Your notes are used only if the setting “Quote notes in AI recaps” is on, and notes that look like they mention self-harm are never sent to the model. Nothing leaves your device. On other devices, or in languages the model does not support, the app builds the text from templates instead.
Focus and break sounds are generated by the app in real time on your device. The app has no audio files, does not record audio and does not use the microphone.
Notifications are scheduled locally on your device; there is no push server. Widgets, Live Activities and the Apple Watch app read the same on-device data. Between your iPhone and your Apple Watch, session status is exchanged directly through Apple’s system services.
Deepnook Pro (monthly and yearly subscriptions and a lifetime purchase) is sold through the App Store. Apple processes payment and manages subscriptions; the app never receives your payment details. The app checks your entitlements on the device through StoreKit.
iCloud sync is off by default. If you turn it on, your records are stored in your own private iCloud storage through Apple’s CloudKit. Apple keeps this data and we cannot access it.
Because we collect no personal information, there is nothing to share or sell, and we do not track you across apps or websites.
We do not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
In Settings you can export your data and delete all data. Deleting the app removes all data stored on the device. If you used iCloud sync, records in your private iCloud storage are removed when you delete all data in the app.
If this policy changes, the effective date above changes with it, and significant changes are noted in the app’s update notes.
